In a competitive field of finalists, Explore India Journeys Inc. has been the proud recipient of the India National Tourism Award for the past three consecutive years for Best Inbound Tour Operator / Travel Agency. Annually hosted by the President of India, the Minister of Tourism and Culture and other dignitaries, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India presents National Tourism Awards to various segments of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry in recognition of their performance in their respective fields and also to encourage healthy competition with an aim to promoting tourism.

President and CEO of Explore India, Nazir Karnai, most recently accepted the 2016 award on behalf of Explore India in the presence of the Honorable President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, at a function held in the country’s capital, New Delhi. More than 500 industry representatives attended the Indian tourism industry’s biggest night to recognize and celebrate excellence across a range of categories.

“The awards are an outstanding acknowledgment of our hard work and commitment to promoting tourism to India to our predominately Canadian clientele base. We sincerely thank the Indian Ministry of Tourism for honoring us with this award for the past three years.

We also thank all Explore India staff, both in India and Canada. We are incredibly proud of our team who has dedicated so many hours to consistently delivering an incredible visitor experience and sharing our love of India. Last but not least, we thank you, each of our valued guests for trusting in us and supporting us through the years – as I often say, once you travel with us, you are no longer a client, but rather a member of our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” sincerely stated Karnai.
