Things to do in Rann of Kutch

The Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary is popular for hosting the spectacle known as “Flamingo City,” where thousands of flamingos converge to nest and breed. Visitors can see them build their muddy nests, lay eggs, rear their young ones, as well as perform their delicate dance. Among some of its other prominent fauna are spiny-tailed lizards, hyenas, desert foxes, caracals, and antelopes like the nilgai and chinkara. The Best Time to Visit the Rann of Kutch

The dry season is the best time to visit the Rann of Kutch, from October to March. From October onwards, the water from the salt marsh starts to recede, and the weather becomes favorable for visitors, with temperatures ranging from 12-26°C. Due to the sub-tropical climate, the summers here get very hot, and the region is filled with water forming a wetland.
