It is with a great pleasure that we invite you to join us on this once in a lifetime experience. This incredible Himalayan cultural journey will take us to the plains of Darjeeling, in the Himalayan foothills. This was once a summer resort for the British Raj elite and is famous for the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway built in 1881. It’s also famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Boasting a backdrop of Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks, we will then travel onwards to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), the capital of India’s West Bengal state. Founded as an East India Company trading post, this was India’s capital under the British Raj from 1773-1911. Today it’s known for its grand colonial architecture, art galleries and cultural festivals. It is also home to Mother Teresa House, headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa. Now that we are back from India and Australia we wanted to follow up and let you know how much we enjoyed the tour. It truly was a ‘Journey of the Senses’. It was an amazing experience, thanks to you and your staff for such an excellent job, everything was well organized and seemed to go off without a hitch. I’m sure that’s because of all your hard work. Donna and I were talking about the trip and how much we enjoyed the variety of experiences on the tour right from the Taj Mahal to riding elephants in Jaipur to playing elephant polo tp the camel ride and dinner in the desert. The history, the culture, the cuisine was all amazing. We thought the trip exceeded our expectations, we believe it was one of the best value for money tours we have done and would certainly recommend the trip to anyone. We look forward to sharing our photos and video with everyone.

Hello Nazir. We got back from our trip to India on March 1st. Just as you promised, we had a fabulous and amazing trip, and are so glad we went! Thank you so much for making the arrangements for us. I hope your trip there went as well as ours did. I also wanted to let you know what a great job our guide Sundeep Singh did on behalf of Explore India. I cannot understate how much his presence added to the enjoyment of our trip, and that of our fellow travellers. First of all his knowledge of all things India was amazing. He told us all we could possibly want in understandable lay man’s terms about the history of your country, but he also surprised us with his knowledge of even minute details about all the flora and fauna we came across. I’m not surprised he is working towards his PHD in history. In addition, his professionalism and demeanor towards all of his “respected guests” was top notch. He always gave clear and concise directions to our group, and knew how give them to us in a “just in time” fashion rather than bombarding us with information before we needed it. This is not an easy thing to do with as large a group as ours was. He was always able to do this in a professional yet down to earth fashion. Sundeep was also able to make the quick hard decisions when the situation warranted it, so they did not become group debates. He was also always on guard for our safety and security, and he always found good clean restaurants for us that served “yummy” food, and stopped at restrooms that were as clean as possible. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. It would be appreciated if you could pass on our feedback to Sundeep, and let him how much his services added to the enjoyment of our trip. I have already passed your name and company information on to some of our friends, with a strong recommendation for them to follow us and go Explore India. I wish you and your company well in the future. Sincerely,

17 JAN, 2018: We had a wonderful and memorable trip and saw a different India than our previous trip. The variety of places we visited; the spectacular scenery especially in the Western Ghats; the warm and friendly people; the many modes of transport from bullock carts, boats, rickshaws and tuk tuk; the colourful and vibrant temples; the unique and luxurious lodgings; all guided by Jishoy a knowledgeable and organized tour leader who was outstanding and flexible to individual needs. I look forward to recapturing the memories when I have edited my photos. Once again, the Explore India team gave us an incredible experience of indelible quality at an affordable price. Hello Nazir, Thank you for following up with us re: our tour in India. Mike said he spoke with your recently. We had a wonderful time in India. Sandeep was a very knowledgeable and respectful tour guide. The bus drivers were amazing. The food was delicious, with plenty of choice. The accommodation was really excellent, with one exception in Varanasi, however that turned out just fine too. We were well taken care of by everyone involved in the tour. India is an amazing country. Your tour was truly incredible and we would recommend it in a heartbeat. Thank you for being so kind in handling all my questions, concerns, etc. before the trip! Have a lovely weekend.

Now that you are back from India I wanted to thank you and Rajeev for the wonderful holiday that that you organized. I had high expectations but I can truly say that our expectations were exceeded throughout the holiday. The choice of hotels was fabulous as was the choice of cities and sites to visit. We will certainly plan another trip in the future as there is still so much to see in India and we will contact you again. Rajeev was very attentive following up with us almost every day and making sure everything went smoothly (which it did). The drivers and guides were great throughout the trip. I only have one small suggestion. Depending on your client's budget and available time, I would book one free day in some of the palace hotels just to enjoy the pools and gardens. The pace of the trip was great but I would have liked one more day at say Lake Palace or Umaid Bhawan Palace to enjoy the hotel itself. I have already recommended you to three other friends. Thanks again

Hi Nazir, it was such a fabulous experience, we had a fantastic time, can hardly believe it’s over! Not only was the tour amazing, the other 6 (we were really lucky) in the group were excellent. The food and the hotels were top notch, excellent value for our dollar. We loved how `things were taken care of``, we just had to have our bags outside the room, what service !!!! I know we will be seeing Mark and Anita here in Victoria. May even travel with them !!

Overall, it was an excellent tour, and very good value for our money. I would strongly recommend your company to any friends that wanted to do a tour, and would strongly recommend Ravi for any friends that wanted to hire a guide privately as well. (I am considering perhaps returning to India for a couple of weeks of "living" rather than "touring" in a few years, and will definitely contact you for advice, since you obviously know the country and the travel business very well!)

Hi Nazir, We had a fabulous time in India and rate our overall trip as a 9/10. We loved the tour you put together for us and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, our next destination brought more delights and experiences. Here are our thoughts of what worked well (I may have the wrong spelling for some of the names so apologies on that - I may also be providing too many details!): Being greeted immediately by Issu as we exited the airport in Delhi was perfect - he spotted us right away, was very friendly and energetic, he engaged us, answered our questions, introduced us to our driver Kulvinder, checked us into our hotel, provided details on the next days and everything was seamless. We didn't worry about a thing. We liked having a day to rest and get used to the time change. Our tour in Delhi was lots of fun. Our guide was good (can't recall his name - Assish?) We loved old Delhi, walking through some parts of the market and just witnessing how everyone and everything flowed - trucks, cars, rickshaws, dogs, cows, people, bikes - we could learn so much in western culture about trusting and going with the flow! We loved Kulvinder. We felt very safe with his driving. Sharon gets motion sickness so sat in the front with Kulvinder - she had a few anxious moments whereas I was so fascinated with how he navigated traffic and kept us safe even when it seemed like vehicles were coming right at us. Kulvinder provided us with water all the time which we really appreciated. (We weren't prepared for some of the hotter days in the high 30s and low 40s) so air-conditioning and water were so appreciated! Kulvinder also had an easy disposition, answered our questions, pointed out things of interests (camels eating on the roadside!), was generous with our son giving little treats to him such as carved animals, encouraging him to get closer to a snake when Taylor was curious but scared, etc. We loved Ranthambore - the drive was good as it gave us a chance to see the countryside and learn more about the agricultural component of India. The Tiger Sanctuary Den was our favorite place to stay. It was more modest as compared to the hotels in the cities but the layout encouraged more interaction with other visitors and that is where we met the most Indian tourists. (Some who took down Explore India info as we loved our tour and didn't have to plan/worry about a thing whereas others were saying with their tour company they felt they were doing more of the work.) So we enjoyed meeting the people and our son met his new best friends (Vedant and Sedant) and played with them for the time we were there. Rajeev called the hotel to ensure everything was fine with us, spoke to me to ensure we had everything so we felt very well taken care of. PLUS we saw tigers (mother and 2 cubs) on our first ride out to the sanctuary. The drive to the sanctuary was also very interesting as we got to see more of the farms and how people live. Our driver was fearless and our guide was determined that we say tigers - it was fabulous! We also visited a textile place where our guide was very patient as we order tailor made shirts and jackets which were delivered to us in a matter of hours - we were impressed! In hindsight, we would have ordered more (if they have an online business, let us know! - I can't recall the name of the place but one of the men who worked there has a niece in Winnipeg!) So just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we loved our time in Varanasi. The cremation ghats were our favorite and just learning more about Hinduism. The boat rides on the Ganges were amazing. We enjoyed also learning more about the history of Buddha. At one of the temples, the Indian tourists seemed to find something interesting about us. They kept on wanting to take pictures of us with them! We felt like celebrities (or perhaps it was karma as we took so many photos of local Indians as well!). Our hotel room was so spacious and easily accommodated an extra bed for Taylor which was nice. The guide was good - very knowledgeable on the Hindu religion and practices of which we asked lots of questions. When we landed in Delhi, we were greeted by Issu and Kulvinder which was great. However, they thought we were leaving that very night whereas our itinerary was for the next day. Rajeev ensured we had the extra day and extended check out time with dinner included (and Issu ensured at check out that we didn't pay for those items). We also asked if we could have a driver to see more of the sights the next day and Rajeev accommodated our request which we really appreciated. (We wanted to see more of the neighborhoods of how people live - so our driver was great - he took us to a range of neighborhoods - wealthy, government workers, etc) We will share our itinerary with others who have expressed interest in traveling to India and will definitely recommend Explore India. Thanks so much Nazir.

Yes we are home it was a wonderful holiday Nazir. I think I would have liked longer now that I see what the country is like. The people we met on the tour were lovely and all of the Indian people charming and gracious, so pleased to have us as tourists in their country. Our bus drivers were amazing what a job! and Sandeep did his job with ease and humour, a very knowledgeable young man. Thanks to your team.

As a seasoned traveller and former hotel executive, I am fully aware of all the logistics and details that are essential in making ones travels as rewarding as possible. You have excelled in so many ways, from the initial contact with you, to her safe return home a couple of weeks ago. Her trip was amazing in so many memorable ways thanks in large part to the seamless travel plans that you put into place. Please pass this note on to any that are considering your travel services, as we highly recommend you for your impeccable follow-up and diligence in all that you have done for us. FEEL CONFIDENT TRAVELING WITH EXPLORE INDIA
No company is big or small when you have 100% capability of exceeding guest expectations. A rating of 10 out of 10 does not adequately reflect the level of the experience and value of the tour that we provide to India especially for the first time visitors. Explore India’s success can be traced all the way back to those early days of learning what it means to be a host and to this day, our motto is to treat the guest like a member of the family. A sure testimonial to the business, given the fact that many Canadians have travelled not one, not twice, but three times with Explore India, the early teachings seem to have paid off, as touring to India with us is a sought-after experience in Canada and beyond.
